Reporting to the CEO, the CPIO will play a crucial role in evolving the culture and reviewing organizational design and processes while identifying and developing leadership competencies for the future. This leader will be bold in their efforts to innovate, leveraging the organization's culture and history to create impactful programs that align with Second Harvest's mission to end hunger in the community. The CPIO will drive accountability around employee engagement, talent acquisition, total compensation, talent management, training and development, and access by positioning People policies and practices within an equity imperative and a culture of inclusion. They will develop a strong people-focused human resources team to provide an excellent experience across all aspects of employment and support the design and communication of a clear DEI people strategy. Additionally, the CPIO will advise senior leadership on effective and transparent communications across teams, departments, and functions to identify opportunities for impact and trust building.
