The Chief People Officer (CPO) at Somatus is a pivotal role within the organization, serving as the senior leader on the HR team and reporting directly to the CEO. The CPO is responsible for converting the business strategy into a people strategy, ultimately driving value by intentionally aligning the HR function to optimize and drive desired business outcomes. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with the dynamic competitive environment and Somatus' strategic direction to optimize human capital solutions at the organization, team, and individual levels. The CPO will act as a dynamic thought partner to senior leadership, anticipating and driving innovative, best-in-class organizational design, management processes, and human capital solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach to architecting world-class HR systems that enable the business's rapid growth, emphasizing a builder mentality with a nimble, flexible, and entrepreneurial orientation. Key responsibilities include overseeing total rewards to ensure competitive compensation and benefits, aligning performance management with Somatus goals, and developing dynamic talent acquisition strategies. The CPO will also manage HR shared services, employee and labor relations, and collaborate with HR leadership on organization development initiatives. This role is critical in identifying, developing, and guiding the execution of the People Strategy for Somatus, ensuring integration with strategic business and financial goals. The CPO will also participate in corporate strategy development and decision-making as a member of the Somatus Leadership Team (SLT). In addition, the CPO will lead succession planning processes, create a deliberate approach to the continuous development of the company's culture, and promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. The CPO will be responsible for developing and mentoring a talented team of human resources professionals and will work closely with corporate and regional leaders to translate business needs into long-term viable solutions.
