About the position

The Chief People Officer (CPO) at Somatus is a senior HR executive responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will lead a world-class human resources function, focusing on creating a high-performance culture, driving accountability, and supporting rapid growth across geographically distributed markets. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership, translating business strategy into a comprehensive people strategy.
  • Partner with the leadership team to create a high-performance culture by setting clear objectives and driving accountability.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across all HR functions, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Architect a culture of performance by implementing metrics-driven talent and performance management systems.
  • Develop strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent using innovative recruitment and onboarding approaches.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion through various initiatives.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support Somatus' rapid growth.
  • Develop comprehensive succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives, including employee engagement and performance management.
  • Oversee People Operations to ensure HR processes are optimized for efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team to deliver data-driven insights on key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement a competitive Total Rewards Strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Oversee executive compensation and incentive programs.
  • Lead a best-in-class Talent Acquisition function to proactively identify talent needs.
  • Build a strong employer brand to attract top talent across the healthcare sector.
  • Lead a team of HR Business Partners to enhance business performance and optimize talent.
  • Implement HR infrastructure and strategic initiatives for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 15 years of HR leadership experience, with proven success in various HR disciplines.
  • Previous SVP-level experience within healthcare services or a similar high-growth organization is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive measurable business results.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth organization, with a track record of scaling teams beyond 1,500 team members.
