About the position

The Chief People Officer (CPO) at Segra will lead the Human Resources efforts, focusing on fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This executive role involves setting and executing the strategic vision for HR, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR practices with business goals, and enhancing the employee experience. The CPO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and will be responsible for driving people strategies that support Segra's growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent, aligning with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and collaboration, ensuring Segra's values are reinforced in every interaction.
  • Serve as a visionary to define strategic HR directions, including standardization of policies, budgeting, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Anticipate and identify business trends to develop innovative HR solutions that address complex competitive challenges and enhance the employee experience.
  • Oversee compliance with federal and state employment laws, ensuring HR policies and practices support company growth and adhere to regulations.
  • Oversee conflict resolution, employee relations, and internal investigations to foster a positive and psychologically safe workplace.
  • Regularly engage with the C-Suite to report on key HR initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and leading a team of HR professionals, guiding their development and ensuring high performance.
  • Provide executive coaching to enhance leadership capabilities and drive high-functioning teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing teams, including hiring, developing, and motivating employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR strategies in workforce planning, talent management, and compliance with federal/state regulations (EEOC, ADA, OHSA, etc.).
  • Proven experience developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals and budgets.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organization.
  • Executive presence with strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
