About the position

The Chief People Officer (CPO) at GBH will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Human Resource strategy that aligns with the organization's mission. The CPO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and COO, focusing on enhancing leadership effectiveness and organizational coherence while driving culture, employee engagement, talent development, and inclusion across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, COO, and Executive Leadership Team on complex human capital issues.
  • Build relationships across GBH's organizational ecosystem to understand its culture and strategic imperatives.
  • Influence and deploy tailored people strategies that meet organizational needs.
  • Lead best-in-class practices focused on employee development, engagement, culture, and organizational excellence in collaboration with the Inclusion and Equity office.
  • Demonstrate effective relationship building and coach managers to develop leadership skills.
  • Improve existing HR processes and standards, leveraging technology for efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage change and inspire influence within the organization.
  • Experience in leading meaningful change in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a results orientation.
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices, particularly in organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Experience as a strategic thinker and project manager, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across the organization.
  • Resourceful in budget and resource management.
  • BA/BS degree with additional education or relevant certifications.
