About the position

The Chief People Officer is a senior executive role responsible for leading and strategically managing all Human Resources functions across three distinct non-profit organizations: Operation PAR, Boley Centers, and Eleos. This position focuses on staff development, recruitment, retention, employee benefits, compensation programs, policy development, and compliance with labor laws. The Chief People Officer ensures the continuous development and implementation of talent management initiatives, fosters an inclusive workplace culture, and drives organizational success through effective HR leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and leading the Human Resources and Staff Development teams across all three organizations.
  • Providing strategic guidance and consultation to staff and management at all levels.
  • Serving as the primary liaison with labor counsel and government agencies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and practices that are aligned and consistent across all three organizations.
  • Providing overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification is required.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in direct or indirect supervision of the Human Resource function.
  • Experience in multi-site HR management and managing a workforce of over 750 employees.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.

Nice-to-haves

  • In depth knowledge of Human Resource regulatory requirements and labor laws
  • Expertise in employee benefits and administration, compensation programs, and employee relations practices
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, data analytics, and/or people management software
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills for senior management
  • Proven ability to teach and instill fair management practices at all levels of management
  • Proficiency in resolving personnel issues and problems efficiently and professionally
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
