About the position

The Chief Pilot at Worldwide Jet Charter is responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role involves managing the hiring and training of flight crew members, maintaining pilot records, and coordinating operational policies. The Chief Pilot plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to clients while ensuring that all flight crew members adhere to company policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the DO to direct all hiring and training activities of flight crew members
  • Coordinate operations policies, training, and other activities
  • Maintain Pilot flight and training information, ensuring it stays current
  • Responsible for crew member standardization
  • Ensure all flight crew members are enrolled in the company Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention program
  • Prepare and maintain pilot training and proficiency records, pilot flight schedules, flight activity reports, and FAA correspondence
  • Maintain current aircraft checklists
  • Ensure proper procedures are in place to document information for each flight
  • Set policies for the dissemination of information to all crew members regarding routes, airports, NOTAMS, navaids, and Company procedures/policies
  • Maintain and make available to all employees a current copy of the Aeronautical Information Manual, FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135
  • Submit to the FAA all required reports pertaining to flight crews
  • Request and designate nominees for Check Airman authorization to the FAA
  • Monitor crewmembers' duty times and legality before they are assigned to duty
  • Responsible for Operations Specifications amendment requests
  • Be highly knowledgeable of the Company Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, flight manuals, etc.

Requirements

  • ATP with GIV PIC Type Rating, Hawker PIC Type Rating, or Challenger 601 PIC Type Rating
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical
  • US Passport
  • Proven success in a key management/supervisory role in Part 135
  • Experience in coaching a large team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
