The Chief of the Regional Office Management Information Group (ROMIG) is a pivotal role within the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). This position is located in the Dallas, Texas Regional Office and is responsible for leading and managing organizational changes while providing leadership in support of corporate initiatives. The Chief will work proactively to address resistance to change and cultural obstacles, ensuring that FDIC values, policies, and programs are implemented effectively. This role requires a strong commitment to achieving organizational objectives and goals through innovative programs and practices. In this capacity, the Chief will build diverse teams with varied skill sets to accomplish objectives, establishing measurable criteria for evaluating performance and tracking progress. The position involves overseeing the development and implementation of monitoring systems to track changes or unusual trends in the region's financial institutions. Additionally, the Chief will manage the regional management reporting function, which includes offsite monitoring systems, examination scheduling, and resource utilization. The Chief will also be responsible for managing regional information security processes, serving as the main point of contact with the Division of Information Technology (DIT) Project Management Office (PMO). This includes approving changes in project management for capital investment projects and significant operating budget projects. The role requires maintaining effective working relationships with RMS/DCP staff and personnel from other divisions to oversee the development of information systems and resolve issues related to requirements, operational analysis, data collection, information sharing, and system implementation. Furthermore, the Chief will work closely with senior management to determine information components, security protocols, and system requirements necessary for managing and overseeing management information and decision support systems.
