About the position

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Georgetown University oversees all revenue operations for the Office of Advancement. This role is pivotal in directing various teams, including Finance, Gift Administration, and Data & Analytics, to create a best-in-class revenue operations model aimed at generating over $400 million in new commitments annually. The CRO collaborates with university leadership to ensure alignment with financial practices and policies, while also managing a team of 38 staff members to optimize revenue production and support fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all revenue operations for the Office of Advancement.
• Direct teams including Finance, Gift Administration, and Data & Analytics.
• Lead the development of a revenue operations model to meet annual fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with University Finance and Compliance to align practices and policies.
• Manage daily operations associated with Advancement's revenue production.
• Design and implement standard processes for donor solicitations and revenue forecasting.
• Provide thought partnership to the VP for Advancement regarding campaign priorities and financial investments.
• Ensure compliance with gift administration and donor agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; MBA or similar master's degree preferred.
• 10-20 years of progressive work experience in higher education or a private sector equivalent.
• Experience in frontline fundraising and organizational operations management.
• Proven track record of managing operations in a complex organization.
• Ability to coordinate fundraising efforts with academic and financial priorities.
• Skilled in managing and leading diverse teams.
• Expertise in communications, change management, and fundraising matrixes.
