About the position

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at RapidScale is a pivotal leadership role responsible for spearheading revenue growth and sales strategy within the organization. This position involves leading commercial managed cloud sales teams, aligning cross-functional teams, and fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture. The CRO will develop and implement a multi-channel sales strategy, manage revenue targets, and collaborate with various departments to optimize performance and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative environment by leading with empathy and authenticity.
  • Remove obstacles and provide support and resources to team members.
  • Build a culture of trust, respect, and open communication.
  • Support professional and personal growth through effective onboarding and tailored training.
  • Develop and implement a multi-channel sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and mentor sales leaders and teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Set and manage quotas, revenue targets, and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and implement changes as needed.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Operations to align strategies.
  • Champion CRM adoption and leverage data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Cultivate relationships with key customers and strategic partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years' relevant experience, or a master's degree with 12 years' experience, or a Ph.D. with 9 years' experience, or 18 years' experience in a related field.
  • Experience in the cloud managed services industry with a comprehensive understanding of market trends and customer needs.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through complex solutions-selling sales teams.
  • Experience in data analysis and utilizing CRM and BI tools to track sales performance.
  • Experience leading initiatives in fast-paced, competitive environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google cloud solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and coaching.
  • Ability to implement scalable sales processes and new technologies.
