About the position

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Phoenix Defense is responsible for driving business growth across various military channels, including Army, Air Force, and Navy. This role involves close collaboration with the CEO on strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, and requires active participation in proposal development and pricing strategies. The CRO is accountable for the company's financial performance, focusing on revenue growth, profitability, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the business development team to establish strategic, operational, and tactical objectives for business growth.
  • Work with the CEO to develop business growth strategy and new business pipeline development.
  • Establish and implement key metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) for revenue growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with key customers and lead new business development activities.
  • Provide input into Price-to-Win strategies in collaboration with Contracts/Pricing and Business Development.
  • Participate in proposal development, focusing on management approach and program management plans.
  • Uphold integrity in leadership roles throughout the capture/close cycle.
  • Provide leadership and vision to employees, motivating them to achieve business goals.
  • Monitor competitor capabilities, sales, and marketing activities in conjunction with Business Development.
  • Serve as an integral role in potential mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements

  • 20-25 years of industry and/or military experience in engineering services and aerospace design and manufacturing.
  • Experience with contract pricing adjustments and modifications with government customers.
  • Ability to think strategically and support operational implementation to meet growth targets.
  • Proven ability to manage senior client services and delivery, program, and account managers.
  • Strong experience in revenue growth and management.
  • Advanced negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to grow revenue base and penetrate new markets through relationships with clients and customers.
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with C-Suite Executives.
