About the position

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at Hub International is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales performance within the Program and Wholesale businesses. This position requires a self-motivated individual with extensive knowledge of insurance, wholesale and retail distribution, and marketing. The CSO will collaborate with business leaders to enhance distribution capabilities, identify sales initiatives, and ensure the implementation of best practices across the organization. The role is highly visible and involves significant travel to third-party distribution offices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct gap analysis of distribution capabilities by business in collaboration with business leaders.
  • Drive overall sales performance within the Program and Wholesale businesses with third-party distribution.
  • Identify sales initiatives and business development opportunities throughout Programs and Wholesale businesses.
  • Develop distribution strategy for new programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct sales management situation assessments, reviewing accountability, risk-reward objectives, and incentive plans.
  • Manage SRM/Cube report activity and conduct detailed analysis with business leaders monthly.
  • Ensure sales meetings are conducted and accountable for their effectiveness.
  • Implement HUB International sales best practices and other HO Sales Initiatives.
  • Attend HUB International Sales Leadership Meetings and participate in CSO monthly conference calls.
  • Recruit new production staff and ensure corrective action plans are implemented for producers where needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Detail-oriented with superior communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required.
  • Experience in public speaking and presentations.
  • A team player with a great attitude and self-motivation.
