About the position

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at SPG Program and Wholesale Businesses is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales performance and distribution excellence across the organization. This position requires a self-motivated individual with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, wholesale and retail distribution, and marketing. The CSO will collaborate with business leaders to identify sales initiatives, manage third-party distribution, and ensure the implementation of best practices in sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct gap analysis of distribution capabilities by business and prioritize key initiatives.
  • Drive overall sales performance within the Program and Wholesale businesses with third-party distribution.
  • Identify sales initiatives and business development opportunities throughout Programs and Wholesale businesses.
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies for new programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct sales management assessments reviewing accountability, risk-reward objectives, and incentive plans.
  • Manage SRM/Cube report activity and provide detailed analysis to business leaders monthly.
  • Conduct and ensure sales meetings are held regularly.
  • Implement HUB International sales best practices and other sales initiatives.
  • Attend HUB International Sales Leadership Meetings and participate in CSO monthly conference calls.
  • Recruit new production staff and ensure corrective action plans are implemented for underperforming producers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Detail-oriented with superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in public speaking and presentations.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and self-motivation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry specifically in wholesale and retail distribution.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
