About the position

The Chief Technologist for Hi-Tech APAC at Ansys will play a pivotal role in supporting sales leaders in the APAC region by building executive relationships with customers in the Hi-Tech vertical. This position involves engaging with CXO level executives, complementing the CTO's efforts, and developing content that highlights the value of simulation-based product innovation. The Chief Technologist will also contribute to the long-term technology strategy of Ansys based on customer priorities in the high-tech sector.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with CXO level executives to drive executive alignment with customers and partners.
  • Serve as the Chief Technologist for the Hi-Tech industry across all geographies.
  • Support the Ansys CTO's engagement with customers at a CXO level in the high-tech vertical.
  • Collaborate with the ACE organization and external partners to develop industry-specific solutions and applications.
  • Document existing and develop new application briefs/solutions specific to the Hi-Tech industry with the global ACE/TAM team.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities for high-tech customers utilizing the heatmap.
  • Analyze TRR results for projects to identify solution gaps and work with BU teams to address these gaps.
  • Support future product R&D directions by gathering requirements from respective industries.
  • Drive marketing activities in the Hi-Tech vertical with the industry marketing team.
  • Create compelling collateral and messaging for high-tech solutions for sales and ACE/TAM organization.
  • Develop Ansys's long-term technology strategy based on customer business priorities in the high-tech vertical.
  • Expand Ansys's reach within partner organizations and enhance the utilization of Ansys's products and services in the Hi-Tech vertical.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts during program execution with GTM partners.
  • Attend BU solution planning, partner, and M&A reviews on behalf of the Hi-Tech vertical.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in engaging with CXO level executives in the Hi-Tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of simulation-based product innovation and its application in the Hi-Tech vertical.
  • Ability to develop and present compelling content for thought leadership activities.
  • Experience in developing long-term technology strategies based on customer priorities.
  • Strong networking skills with a rolodex of contacts in the High-tech industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medical tech, medical equipment, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with market analysis and identifying whitespace opportunities.
  • Background in product R&D and collaboration with marketing teams.
