About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Danbury ISD is responsible for the overall management of the Information Technology Department and the strategic planning of technology systems across the district. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that the technology infrastructure supports the educational goals of the district, which serves approximately 670 students from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. The CTO will provide expertise and direction in the development, deployment, and effective use of information technology within the district. This includes overseeing the implementation of technology initiatives that enhance learning and operational efficiency, as well as ensuring that all technology systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the district's educational objectives. In addition to managing the IT department, the CTO will be responsible for coordinating district functions related to technology, implementing policies and procedures, and managing the budget and personnel within the department. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as the CTO will work closely with various stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and external partners. The position is full-time and operates within a unique 4-day instructional week, allowing for innovative approaches to technology integration in education.

  • Ability to manage budget and personnel effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret data for strategic planning.
