About the position

Resolute ISR, Inc. is seeking a qualified Chief Technology Officer to join the team. The CTO will define and execute the company's technical vision to achieve a 10x improvement in UAS cost and reliability. This role involves developing and managing Resolute ISR's UAS technology and product roadmaps, interfacing with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that the organization is not only developing technologies for today but also with a clear direction and plan for tomorrow. The CTO will maintain keen awareness of the trends and conditions in unmanned technology, products, and development tools relative to the needs of the company's customers and businesses. Additionally, the CTO will audit existing and establish new scalable development platforms and processes which meet current organizational requirements, anticipate future growth and complexity, and balance the need for predictability and creative license. Establishing key indicators for competitive performance in completion of development projects and for rapid, realistic decisions on strategies, plans, and projects is also a critical responsibility. The CTO will interface with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure intellectual property is appropriately protected, lead and scale product development teams from one (1) to 30 engineers, and inspire and mentor product development teams to deliver to customer agreed upon outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with technological development.
  • Maintain awareness of trends in unmanned technology and development tools.
  • Audit existing and establish new scalable development platforms and processes.
  • Establish key indicators for competitive performance in development projects.
  • Interface with internal and external resources to protect intellectual property.
  • Lead and scale product development teams from 1 to 30 engineers.
  • Inspire and mentor product development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience successfully leading and directing engineering teams.
  • Experience in highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and innovative environments.
  • Proven experience across a broad range of software and engineering development methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding of systems engineering, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen with a current passport.

  • Experience in developing image processing, machine learning systems, and artificial intelligence.
