About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of a mission-driven digital health startup focused on transforming mental healthcare, particularly for adult ADHD. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in technology management, product development, and team leadership within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, including front-end and back-end developers, UI/UX designers, solution architects, and DevOps engineers.
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of the platform, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and marketing, to deliver technology solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Manage technology budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Play a key role in fundraising efforts by showcasing the company's technological capabilities and vision to potential investors.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within a startup or high-growth company.
  • Strong background in software development, cloud computing, data architecture, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in scaling tech platforms and managing large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing tech team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
