About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the technology strategy and operations of the company. This position involves overseeing product development, architecture strategy, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications, with significant decision-making authority to shape the company's technology direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a technology strategy and roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology organization capable of meeting both current and future needs.
  • Drive the adoption of scalable practices that support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Continuously mentor and develop future leaders within the technology teams.
  • Manage departmental budgets, including forecasting and expense tracking.
  • Oversee strategic technology projects and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and execute data management strategies to grow data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Ensure secure implementation and operation of technologies, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry threats, and apply these insights to company strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate the technology vision and roadmap.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, including negotiating agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in information technology, including software development.
  • 7+ years of management experience, including managing other managers.
  • Experience leading teams using frameworks such as SCRUM and DevSecOps.
  • Proven accountability for security and uptime in a production SaaS environment.
  • Experience managing international teams is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft 365/Azure cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technologies and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CDA).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing international teams is preferred.
