About the position

Jefferson Parish Employees Federal Credit Union, located in Harahan, Louisiana, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and manage all technology-related functions within the organization. This role is critical as the credit union holds approximately $150 million in assets and aims to enhance its technological capabilities. The CTO will report directly to the President/CEO and will be responsible for overseeing the entire technology landscape of the credit union, which includes network infrastructure, telecommunications, IT security, core processing, and help desk support. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive technology plan that aligns with the credit union's strategic goals. A key focus will be on reducing the reliance on external vendors for technology support, thereby fostering a more self-sufficient technology environment. This will involve evaluating the current structure of the technology department, identifying areas for improvement, and coaching and mentoring the IT staff to enhance their skills and performance. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of five years of experience in a technology leadership role within a financial institution. A diverse background in information technology is essential, and experience with Symitar systems will be considered a significant advantage. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess extensive project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead technology initiatives from conception through execution.
