About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Capitol Federal Savings Bank is responsible for overseeing all Information Technology functions, ensuring data integrity, and directing the enterprise's technology strategy. This role involves managing data centers, technical services, and communication networks while providing leadership in IT operations and governance. The CTO will also be involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance the bank's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct short and long-term IT strategic technology plans, architecture, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Determine the Bank's long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to meet business objectives.
• Serve as a member of the IT Steering Committee and provide quarterly IT reports to the Board.
• Identify and integrate emerging information technologies within the organization.
• Lead and implement strategic initiatives, selecting software and hardware, and evaluating vendors for compatibility and compliance.
• Manage the implementation of technology to increase information accessibility and integrated systems management.
• Drive analysis and re-engineering of existing business processes and develop new technological capabilities.
• Oversee the planning and management of the overall IT Operating Budget and IT Capital Budget.
• Develop and maintain the Bank's Information Technology's Enterprise Security and Disaster Recovery Program.
• Supervise and manage the selection, training, and development of IT staff.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years of related experience in a progressively responsible corporate management position.
• Strong background in the Information Technology field.
• Prior experience managing a department or functional area.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding work ethic with a high energy work style.
• Proven expertise in both business and technical facets.
