About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Vice President of Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading aPriori's growth by developing and executing the company's technology vision and strategy. This executive will mentor and guide the engineering team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. The CTO/VP will also collaborate with other senior leaders to translate technology capabilities into strategic business results, driving innovation and overseeing the development of cloud-based services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team to fulfill the product vision through excellence in execution.
• Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s cloud-based service.
• Establish governance processes to ensure corporate objectives are achieved and risks are managed.
• Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering cloud-based services.
• Drive recruitment, development, and performance of a globally distributed engineering team.
• Build a culture of engineering excellence and accountability.
• Oversee the development and transformation of platforms and products by executing product strategies.
• Communicate the company’s technology strategy to various stakeholders.
• Align engineering practices with organizational strategy to deliver business results.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 7-10 years in a senior technical leadership role.
• Experience managing teams of 200 people or greater.
• Expertise in developing modern, large-scale data engineering using cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AWS.
• Strong external communication skills to engage with customers and prospects.
• Experience working at a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience leading in growth-stage environments.
