About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the technology strategy and oversee the development of software platforms for a growing e-commerce organization. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of software products, and collaborating with executive leadership to drive innovation and business growth through technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a growing team of IT professionals including developers, engineers, architects, and QA.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of software products.
• Work with executive leadership to develop and execute IT strategy.
• Ensure the organization stays on top of emerging technologies and e-commerce industry trends for business growth and innovation.
• Create and manage the IT department budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT leadership roles in software development/management.
• Hands-on experience in a tech stack including React, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Experience with Big Data in volume, velocity, and variety.
• Experience building and scaling a team of high-performing individuals.
• Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing complex software projects.
• Expertise in collaboration with disparate teams; experience managing international teams preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
