About the position

The Child/Adolescent Mental Health Assistant will work in the After School Program, providing support and transportation for children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses in Butler County. This part-time role is essential in helping to improve the lives of young individuals facing mental health challenges, contributing to the mission of the South Central Alabama Mental Health Board, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Transport children/adolescents with mental health diagnoses in Butler County.
  • Assist in the After School Program activities and support children's mental health needs.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for children/adolescents.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all transportation regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic computer skills and typing proficiency.
