About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teacher Aide 1 to join our team, focusing on providing attentive care and support to children in a safe and engaging environment. The role involves promoting educational and recreational activities while ensuring the well-being of the children. The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with children and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in a variety of activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote learning and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to children's growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, nap times, and hygiene practices.
• Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies as needed.
• Provide first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in babysitting or childcare settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Experience working in preschool or daycare settings is preferred.
• Strong skills in behavior management to address various needs of children effectively.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children.
