About the position
The After-school Child Care Associate is responsible for supervising and engaging children aged 3 to 10 in a nurturing and safe environment. This part-time role focuses on promoting the social, mental, physical, emotional, and educational development of children while ensuring their happiness and safety. The position requires working Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, with additional hours available during the summer and on no-school days.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and supervising activities for children.
- Promote the social, mental, physical, emotional, and educational development of children.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitary environment in the childcare room.
- Effectively use the attendance and communication system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Child care experience preferred.
