About the position

As a Child Care Center Director at Lightbridge Academy, you will play a pivotal role in leading a high-quality child-care center. Your responsibilities will include inspiring your team, forming meaningful relationships with staff, parents, and children, and advocating for the education and wellbeing of children. You will oversee all operational aspects of the center while striving to achieve enrollment goals and providing an exceptional experience for families.

Responsibilities

  • Create strong relationships resulting in high retention and referrals by providing a WOW customer experience.
  • Build community relationships and enrollment through local marketing and execution of open houses.
  • Achieve center occupancy goals by providing center tours and following the enrollment process.
  • Build a nurturing and positive learning environment for all in the Circle of Care.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the Lightbridge Academy program and Seedlings curriculum.
  • Uphold discretion in dealing with confidential matters and information.
  • Inspire and engage team members through mentoring and coaching.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and staff members.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings.
  • Oversee the hiring process and ensure accurate reporting of financial and performance indicators.
  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in early childhood education or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Childcare Center Director.
  • Minimum of two years in a supervisory role in a licensed childcare program.
  • Ability to set a vision and inspire collaboration among staff members.
  • Integrity and commitment to high ethical standards.
  • Proactive initiative in coordinating responsibilities and developing new ideas.
  • Strong customer service skills to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Sound decision-making and judgment skills in critical situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and lead a team.
  • Adaptability to respond positively to change and learn new methods.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to improve job performance.
  • Technical proficiency with technology and software such as Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in early childhood education programs.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish.
