Responsibilities

  • Create and lead activities based on children's interests and needs.
  • Communicate daily with parents about their child's progress.

  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following established procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a study plan leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
  • New York State Teaching certification (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or eligibility is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
