About the position

The Child Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities and services of children enrolled in various educational programs, including the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Programs and After School Education and Safety Programs. This role involves supervising contracted agency employees and students, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children, and maintaining effective communication with the Educational Options Department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities and services of assigned programs.
• Maintain effective communication with the Administrative Assistant and provide regular updates on program operations.
• Provide information to school and district personnel as needed and develop methods to recruit and retain students for program services.
• Monitor the efficient use of program resources, including ordering supplies and creating materials for program activities.
• Implement school rules and procedures while modeling appropriate behavior for students.
• Report and document participant complaints and handle student discipline issues as they arise.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Administer first aid as needed.
• Maintain onsite security and safety of all students.
• Arrange for substitutes from staff list and notify the Department of schedule changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an instructional and/or supervisory capacity, preferably in a school setting.
• Current training in CPR and first aid is required.
• High School Diploma or senior in high school on track to graduate.

• Strong organizational skills to plan and set up daily activities and special events.
