About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team at Kid to Kid 2 Child Development Center. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your primary focus will be on educating and engaging children through play-based learning and structured activities, while working closely with parents and staff to meet each child's developmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as language, social skills, and motor skills.
• Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with children, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for the children.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of infant care experience
• 1 year of preschool experience
• 1 year of toddler care experience
• Experience in child care settings, including daycare or preschool environments
• Some positions may require an associate's degree
• Skills in special education, toddler care, infant care, or school age services
• Behavior management and classroom management skills
