About the position

The Verification Specialist at Neumann University is responsible for managing student verifications, processing VA certifications, and serving as a liaison to the National Student Clearinghouse. This role supports the university registrar's office by ensuring accurate data management and alignment with the institution's mission and educational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison to National Student Clearinghouse and process NSC monthly reports.
  • Review all transcript requests through the NSC online transcript software.
  • Process VA Certifications and verify benefit eligibility.
  • Manage computer records for the university registrar's office.
  • Assist with student verifications and information cross-checks.
  • Update student information and manage master schedule course entries and block scheduling.
  • Perform data entry tasks and provide general administrative support for the registrar's office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a registrar's office or related college office.
  • Experience in a computerized work environment, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Colleague software or similar software is desired.
  • Understanding and appreciation for the Catholic Franciscan mission of the University.
