About the position

The Child Development Teacher for State Funded Programs at Everett Elementary School is responsible for providing quality education and care to preschool-aged children in a part-day program. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. The teacher will work closely with families and the community to support children's growth and learning, ensuring compliance with state educational standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for preschool children.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Assess and monitor children's development and progress.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and development.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and guidelines for early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Valid California Credential(s) for teaching preschool.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Proof of immunizations for Influenza (flu), Pertussis (TDaP), and Measles (MMR).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge of state-funded early childhood education programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
