About the position

This position is responsible for overseeing the services provided by the Child Placement Agency (CPA) under the direction of the Community Based Services (CBS) Clinical Manager. The role involves active participation in customer service, maintaining respectful relationships, and engaging in community outreach to recruit homes for licensing. The position also includes processing referrals, matching clients with providers, and ensuring proper documentation and payroll processing for service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee services provided by the Child Placement Agency (CPA) under the direction of the CBS Clinical Manager.
  • Actively participate in customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
  • Recruit homes to be licensed to provide services under the CPA through community outreach.
  • Identify community partners to develop capacity for service provision.
  • Provide presentations to community partners regularly.
  • Meet with SED Waiver staff to process referrals for CPA services.
  • Match referred clients with appropriate service providers.
  • Schedule and coordinate overnight respite services.
  • Oversee documentation completed by service providers.
  • Process payroll information for providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience in a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience working with educating and teaching clients about self-care and improving daily living activities.
  • Basic familiarity with community mental health services, preferably within Horizons Mental Health Center.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Experience in public speaking and program development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Special Education with specialized training in human development and family dynamics.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in mental health services or a related field.
  • Preferred licensure or registration as LBSW.
