About the position

The Child Welfare Case Manager at FamiliesFirst Network of Lakeview is responsible for providing advanced social work services to families involved in the Dependency Court system and those seeking voluntary in-home services. The role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of abused and neglected children, aiming to establish permanency and support for families in Northwest Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced social work services to families in the Dependency Court system.
• Support families who voluntarily request in-home services to prevent future abuse or neglect.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in delivering appropriate services and support to families.
• Ensure that every child has a permanent home that provides physical and emotional safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with four years of full-time social work or human services experience.
• Associate degree or 60+ credit hours from an accredited college or university with two years of professional work experience or two years of full-time social work or human services experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification or eligibility to obtain certification as a Child Welfare Case Manager (CWCM) within one year of provisional status.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
