About the position

PSG/CIP is a multi-service community-based social services organization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, cost-effective, and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diverse communities. The Child Welfare Licensing Liaison position provides essential support to State Licensing Liaisons in completing the licensing process for various residential facilities, shelters, group homes, kinship homes, and child-placing agencies. This role is crucial in ensuring that these facilities meet the necessary standards and regulations set forth by the state. In this position, you will assist state licensors in reviewing Serious Incident Reports (SIRs) and making informed recommendations based on your findings. You will also be involved in conducting verification visits to ensure compliance with licensing requirements. Adhering to specifications provided through the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and PSG training is essential, as is utilizing your knowledge to conduct licensing in accordance with Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapters DCF 56, DCF 54, DCF 52, DCF 57, and DCF 59. Your responsibilities will include collecting required information, providing technical assistance to facilities, and assisting state licensors in entering documentation into the state system. You will process initial and continuation applications, assist with open records requests, and support Legislative Audit Bureau audits. Additionally, you may be required to support conversions in court as necessary and assist in the development and maintenance of resource and training materials as directed. Being available via phone to assist with any questions or concerns from licensors or facilities is also a key part of this role. Completing proper documentation per program standards and within established timeframes is critical to the success of the licensing process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related fields; or, at minimum, five years of experience/training related to child welfare.
