About the position
The Childcare Assistant position at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Wellness Center is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the wellness center's programs. This role involves implementing and executing a variety of care activities for children aged 0 weeks to 12 years, providing nurturing care, and facilitating fun and stimulating activities in youth programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and well-being for every child in the wellness center's children's programs.
- Implement and execute a broad range of care and activities for children aged 0 weeks to 12 years.
- Provide nurturing care in the childcare area for younger kids.
- Facilitate fun and stimulating activities in youth programs.
- Implement and execute various events and programs.
Requirements
- 1 year of childcare experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
