About the position
The Goddard School in Milton, MA is seeking a passionate Childcare Assistant Teacher to join their team. This full-time position involves nurturing young children and helping them learn and develop through a play-based curriculum inspired by renowned educational theories. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, collaborative, and dedicated to forming lasting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Advancing physical and intellectual competence by adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the children
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with both parents and fellow staff members
- Providing positive guidance by supporting social and emotional development
- Establishing positive and productive relationships with families
- Ensuring a well-run program by developing lesson plans and building teamwork
- Understanding and implementing Goddard's Health & Safety procedures
- Arriving each day with a positive outlook and a great sense of humor
Requirements
- A 2 year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (will consider equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 18 ECE credits
- EEC Certification preferred (will work with you to get certified)
- Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
