About the position
The Child Care Director will oversee the operations of a child care facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for education, along with the ability to manage staff and collaborate with parents and community members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with state regulations and promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children.
- Supervise and support a team of child care providers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members to create a positive learning environment.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the child care center, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of state regulations governing child care facilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in higher education teaching is a plus.
