About the position

As a childcare teacher at Primrose School of Shawnee, you will play a vital role in fostering curiosity, creativity, and compassion in children. This position involves creating a fun and safe learning environment where children can explore new concepts and develop essential skills for kindergarten readiness. You will work collaboratively with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum, focusing on the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun and safe environment for children to learn and explore.
• Implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum with a co-teacher.
• Nurture children's social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Build genuine relationships with each child to support their learning.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.

Requirements

• Passion for teaching and working with children.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in early childhood education is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with multi-sensory learning techniques.
• Knowledge of child development principles.
