About the position

The Childcare Teacher's Aid plays a crucial role in supporting the Early Childhood Education Teacher by assisting in the overall needs of children in the center. This part-time position focuses on creating a safe and engaging learning environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children, while also leading staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Instruct toddler, preschool-aged, or school-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
• Support and assist the Early Childhood Education Teacher in creating a fun and safe learning environment.
• Develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.
• Meet the needs of the children.

Requirements

• Must pass the Applicant Background Study required by the Department of Human Services.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Ability to build rapport with children.
• Positive and patient demeanor.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields is not required but is desired.
