The Childcare Worker will play a vital role in providing care for children during various childcare events, fulfilling the objectives of the Children's Ministry. This position requires a commitment to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all children, ensuring their safety and cleanliness. The Childcare Worker will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized space after each event and will need to communicate effectively with parents during drop-off and pick-up times. The role also involves physical demands, including the ability to lift at least 20 lbs and react quickly in various situations, all while adhering to safe and secure procedures related to childcare. Candidates must be fully committed to the mission and core values of First Baptist Grapevine, as well as to the Senior Pastor, the Executive Leadership Team, and the overall church ministry. A strong commitment to biblical Christian principles and teachings, both professionally and personally, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity, ensuring that they embody the values of our community.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for each event.
• Provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for all children.
• Care for each child by ensuring they are clean and safe.
• Ensure the room is picked up and sanitized after the event.
• Provide clear communication with parents at drop-off and pick-up.
• Be able to lift at least 20 lbs. and quickly react in situations.
• Follow all safe and secure procedures as related to this position.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in childcare preferred.
• Skilled at providing care for children from ages 0-12.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of general terminology related to childcare and procedures.
• Strong willingness to learn and apply skills learned.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a church or ministry setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
