About The Position

The Children's Art Party Specialist at Meri Cherry is a part-time role focused on leading and supporting art parties and events for children aged 2-13. This position requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for process art. The specialist will be responsible for managing various aspects of the parties, ensuring that all materials are prepared and organized, and providing exceptional customer service to families in the community.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a party and/or events support capacity, such as catering or children's birthday parties.
• Prior experience or interest in working with children ages 2-13 and their families.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Strong communication skills to support the small team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Values punctuality and integrity in all work tasks.
• Self-starter who can work independently and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support in-person parties and events at MC Studio and MC Mobile Parties on weekends.
• Review the parties and events calendar for upcoming events.
• Ensure inventory levels are sufficient for all parties on the calendar.
• Prepare art materials to specification according to MC standards.
• Take weekly inventory of birthday party materials/essentials.
• Clean, organize, and maintain the Shop/Making Space, including FOH and BOH duties.
• Serve in an administrative support capacity, answering telephone calls and basic questions about MC offerings.
• Assist with incoming deliveries and outgoing packages, including packing and shipping orders.
• Support the additional needs of the Studio and Making Space through production-related tasks.
