About the position

The Children's Group Home Administrator is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and the overall health, well-being, and safety of clients in a group home setting. This role involves managing staffing, maintaining communication with conservators and outside agencies, and overseeing daily operations to provide high-quality care and support to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain open communication with conservators, family, service coordinators, and/or other client representatives/advocates regarding client health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing for the facility by hiring and training staff, generating schedules, and delegating duties.
  • Oversee daily business operations including client notes documentation, medication audits, and maintenance of client and staff files.
  • Attend trainings as mandated by Regional Centers.
  • Communicate with staff regarding quality care assurance.
  • Maintain safety compliance to prevent staff and client injury.
  • Responsible for resident care such as scheduling medical appointments and ensuring overall medical condition of the residents.
  • Act as first responder in the field to emergencies and report special incidents according to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call response as applicable.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Group Home Certification for children is a MUST.
  • DSP I and DSP II certificates.
  • CPR/FA and CPI certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field working with clients with developmental disabilities of Level 4I or Higher Home.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher (Preferred).
