About The Position

The Children's Group Home Administrator is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and the overall health, well-being, and safety of clients in a group home setting. This role involves managing staffing, maintaining communication with conservators and outside agencies, and overseeing daily operations to provide high-quality care and support to clients with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Group Home Certification for children is a must.
  • DSP I and DSP II certificates are required.
  • CPR/FA and CPI certification are required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field working with clients with developmental disabilities of Level 4I or higher.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and maintain regulatory compliance as mandated by licensing and Regional Centers.
  • Maintain open communication with conservators, family, service coordinators, and other client representatives regarding client health and well-being.
  • Manage staffing and labor hours to provide the highest quality care and support to clients.
  • Train and mentor direct support professional staff.
  • Oversee daily business operations including client notes documentation, medication audits, and maintenance of client and staff files.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide statements of discussions.
  • Attend trainings as mandated by Regional Centers.
  • Maintain safety compliance to prevent staff and client injury.
  • Schedule medical appointments for residents and follow up on recommendations by doctors.
  • Act as first responder in emergencies and report special incidents according to applicable laws and regulations.
