About the position

The Children's Group Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing the operations of a group home for children with developmental disabilities. This role ensures regulatory compliance, manages staffing, and maintains the health and safety of clients. The Administrator also communicates with families and outside agencies, trains staff, and acts as a first responder in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain regulatory compliance as mandated by licensing and Regional Centers.
• Maintain open communication with conservators, family, service coordinators, and other client representatives regarding client health and well-being.
• Manage staffing and labor hours to provide high-quality care and support to clients.
• Train and mentor direct support professional staff.
• Oversee daily business operations including client documentation, medication audits, and maintenance of client and staff files.
• Attend trainings as mandated by Regional Centers.
• Maintain safety compliance to prevent staff and client injury.
• Schedule medical appointments and follow up on recommendations by doctors for residents.
• Act as first responder in emergencies and report special incidents according to applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Group Home Certification for children is a must.
• DSP I and DSP II certificates required.
• CPR/FA and CPI certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with clients with developmental disabilities of Level 4I or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred).
