About the position

The Children's Theater Stage Manager at the Salem YMCA is a part-time role focused on producing youth musicals, plays, and live shows. This position involves collaborating with the production team to create a safe and productive rehearsal environment, assisting with rehearsals, and supporting young performers in their theatrical endeavors. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to assist with rehearsals.
• Take notes of script changes and manage sound and lighting for each scene.
• Create a safe and welcoming rehearsal space for young performers.
• Initiate and maintain a productive environment during rehearsals.
• Support the producer/director in guiding young performers through their production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in Theater Production preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with children, preferably in arts programming.
• Experience participating in or leading theater productions.
