About the position

The Food Service Worker position at China Grove Middle School involves providing food service assistance and direct services to students in the absence of the full-time Food Service Worker. This role is crucial in ensuring that students receive nutritious meals and that food safety and sanitation standards are maintained. Responsibilities

• Follow sign in/sign out procedures as prescribed by the School District personnel
• Assist in providing food service preparation and services to students, and other related kitchen duties, under the direction and guidance of School District personnel
• Dress in a safe and appropriate manner as described in the KES Standards of Professional Conduct
• Follow all food safety and storage rules
• Follow all established sanitation procedures
• Operate all mechanical kitchen equipment correctly and safely
• Assist in money and meal accountability

Requirements

• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with School District staff and students
• At least 18 years of age
• Negative TB test (within 1 year)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
