About the position

The Chiropractic Physician at Gonstead Physical Medicine is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, focusing on improving spinal alignment and alleviating pain. This role involves developing treatment plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and providing follow-up support to ensure patients achieve optimal wellness. The Chiropractor will also engage in patient education, manage records, and participate in team meetings to enhance patient care and office efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate neuromusculoskeletal conditions with a focus on biomechanical movement.
  • Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and reviewing X-rays.
  • Answer questions regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis, motivating patients towards overall wellness.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff about the importance of Integrated Healthcare.
  • Identify patient needs, develop outcome goals, and execute functional healthcare plans.
  • Provide follow-up support for patients in person or by phone.
  • Participate in team meetings to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Conduct new patient and follow-up examinations.
  • Manage patient records and enter visit notes into electronic health software.
  • Report opportunities for growth and development to the lead doctor.
  • Participate in leadership development meetings and daily zoom meetings.
  • Meet departmental key performance indicators with excellence.
  • Maintain the company’s reputation to a high standard.
  • Train to communicate effectively with patients and the team.
  • Follow all operating procedures within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited college.
  • Passing score for professional examination, such as National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
  • Licensure for location of practice.
  • Full eligibility for malpractice insurance in location of practice.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, Windows, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to build relationships and educate patients on Integrated healthcare benefits.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and assess health data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a multidisciplinary practice setting.
  • Familiarity with various chiropractic techniques such as Gonstead and Graston.
