About the position
The Clinical Coordinator for Mental Health Services at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is responsible for ensuring high-quality, family-centered patient care in accordance with regulatory standards and the Nurse Practice Act of New York. This role involves assessment, evaluation, planning, and directing nursing care activities, while also participating as a team member in various assignments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Accept responsibility/accountability for quality patient care.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Plan and direct nursing care activities.
- Re-evaluate nursing care as necessary.
- Participate in team activities and perform additional assignments as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing (required).
- Valid New York State RN license (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- PMCS certification within orientation period (required).
- One year prior experience in Mental Health (required).
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures (required).
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Basic computer knowledge (required).
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (preferred).
- CHMC Chemo-therapy course within one year of position start date (preferred).
