About the position
The Clinical Systems Analyst position is responsible for supporting the design, deployment, and ongoing support of clinical applications within a healthcare setting. This role involves collaboration with nursing, physicians, and ancillary clinical areas to assess their needs, perform operational analysis, and develop solutions that optimize system capabilities. The analyst will also provide end-user training and support, ensuring that clinical systems are effectively implemented and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, and ongoing support for clinical applications.
- Work closely with nursing, physicians, and ancillary clinical areas to support their needs.
- Perform process and operational analysis.
- Assess and define system requirements.
- Develop and implement solutions for clinical systems.
- Ensure system capabilities are optimized.
- Support system implementations, redesigns, and upgrades.
- Provide end-user training and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and/or Information Sciences.
- Three (3) or more years of progressive clinical electronic medical record systems experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and technical skills to identify end user needs and system capabilities.
- Understanding of healthcare clinical concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Knowledge of IS principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience with the Meditech Hospital Information System is strongly desired.
