About the position

The Chubb Associate, FP&A Analyst position is an entry-level role within the North America Finance team, focusing on financial planning and analysis. The role involves assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close analysis, performing planning and forecasting activities, and preparing clear and concise reporting for management. This position is part of the Chubb Associate Program, which aims to develop critical business skills through hands-on assignments, technical training, and peer mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing accurate and timely financial analysis for informed business decisions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and YTD profit and loss reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Compile metrics and analysis on various portions of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions, and Expenses.
• Prepare monthly commentary on financial statements specific to the Business Unit, providing clear descriptions of significant events impacting results.
• Gather and prepare documentation to support unusual activity, trends, or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of findings.
• Follow up on issues until completion.
• Responsible for Expense Management and Reporting.
• Contribute to building the annual plan and quarterly forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major or in a related field with a minor in Business.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize, plan, and implement work assignments under tight deadlines.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial analysis or related internships.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting tools.
